Nelson Orthodontics Virtual Home Check Instructions
Braces and Metal Appliances:
- Grab two spoons and someone in your home to help you (the spoons are to lift your lips away so we can see as much of your teeth as possible)
- Go to a brightly lit room, near a bright window is best
- Use your smartphone or digital camera and make sure the flash is on
- Replicate the pictures in the form below using the spoons while your helper takes the photos
- Take the first five photos in the form below and make sure you are biting tight together. Please wear your elastics (if you have been instructed to) for the photos as well
Invisalign or Retainers
- Grab two spoons and someone in your home to help you (the spoons are to lift your lips away so we can see as much of your teeth as possible)
- Go to a brightly lit room, near a bright window is best
- Use your smartphone or digital camera and make sure the flash is on
- Replicate the pictures in the form below using the spoons while your helper takes the photos
- Take the first five photos in the form below with your aligners or retainers out and make sure you are biting tight together
- Then put your aligners or retainers in and take another three photos with your teeth slightly separated. Please wear your elastics for these photos (if you have been instructed to wear them)
